Disaster management is a multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary effort. In response to a disaster, several organizations are involved. These organizations include the space data service providers (e.g. UN-SPIDER, International Charter: Space and Disaster, UNITAR Operational Satellite Applications Programme-UNOSAT, and SERVIR-Africa), relief organizations (e.g. UN-OCHA), health organizations (e.g. WHO), just to mention a few.
